About us

Volunteer-Led. Mission-Driven. Serving Ukraine.

Founded in April 2026 by volunteers who have been on the ground in Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion — people who know this crisis firsthand. We use drones, AI, and virtual reality to bring modern technology to mine action, from surveying contaminated land to educating communities about the dangers they face every day. We work across Ukraine, and our services are always free — because the people of Ukraine have already paid enough. Our mission is simple: to make Ukrainian land safe again.

How we work

Assess

Every engagement begins with a thorough assessment of the threat — combining drone surveys, AI analysis, and community knowledge to map contamination accurately and safely.

Act

We deliver the training, education, and technical support that communities and EOD teams need to address explosive hazards effectively and safely.

Restore

Our work doesn’t end when the mines are found. We take a broader view of land rehabilitation, working toward the full ecological and agricultural restoration of affected areas.

About us

Meet our team

Behind AMAV is a group of volunteers who showed up when Ukraine needed help and never left. Scientists, engineers, and demining professionals — all working without charge, all committed to the long work of making Ukraine whole again.

Kevin Raison, Director

Kevin has been volunteering in Ukraine since February 2022. His humanitarian relief work led him to demining. He has three years of experience as a sapper and drone pilot. He completed his EOD training at the Sheriff Humanitarian Demining Training Center in Kyiv.
